Spirit of Place Survey
Spirit of Place Survey
We are reviewing what’s distinctive and special about the main parts of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site; its northern, central and southern areas – and what makes each section unique.
Our online survey is the opportunity for you to tell us what you think about it – whether you live or work here, or just visit the Derwent Valley. The feedback will be collated to help us develop ‘Spirit of Place’ propositions for each part – these will be used in future planning and promotion of the DVMWHS.
The survey will be open until 19th March and is completely confidential, so we don’t need any information about you – just your thoughts on what these areas mean to you. The more responses we get, the better we can represent everyone’s views.
If you wish, you can also enter the FREE PRIZE DRAW with a chance of winning over £100 of vouchers to spend in the Derwent Valley. More details about that on the survey.
You can comment on any, or all, of the 3 areas:
- The Northern part – Cromford, Masson, Lea Bridge, Whatstandwell and Ambergate
- The Central part – Belper and Milford
- The Southern part – Darley Abbey, Darley Park and Derby Silk Mill
The survey is in 8 sections.
Each section is a THEME which considers different aspects of the area.
You can tell us anything you want to about the area under each theme. It might be just a single word, a sentence, or lots of things – its up to you. There’s no right or wrong answer!
