Christmas Cranky Contraptions Workshop
Make your own Christmas-themed automata* inspired by the new Cabaret Mechanical Theatre exhibition. In this maker-led workshop you will be guided through the process of making a crank machine, and then use your imagination to create some Christmas magic.
The workshop will be led by Andy Miller, who is a trained theatre designer and currently our Workshop Technician at the Museum of Making. He has over 40 years of industry experience and will guide participants through the processes of constructing these fun and ingenious machines.
Venue: Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill
Times: two workshop times available: 10.15am to 11.45am or 1pm to 2.30pm
Cost: £10 per ticket (£9 Members and Derby Museums Family Friends)

Suitable for adults and children aged 7+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
*An automata is a moving mechanical device that can utilise different methods of movement.
