Cromford Apple Day
Sat 5th Oct
Come along and press your over-large crops of apples by the bushel (boxes- and bags-full) to juice that can be frozen in plastic containers, to bring out over the winter, or fermented into cider. We can also deal with pears, soft fruit and grapes. While you are busy chopping, mashing, pressing and bottling (children love taking part but please help keep a safety watch) or just looking on, you will be entertained by music and Morris dancing or learning from an attending expert. Apple quiz, raffle, produce and refreshment stalls, children’s games and activities and this year for the first time a HOG ROAST. There will be shelter if the day is wet.
