Trustee Vacancies at Belper North Mill Trust
Trustee Vacancies at Belper North Mill Trust
The Belper North Mill Trust runs the Derwent Valley Visitor Centre and a small, independent accredited museum, Strutt’s North Mill, within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
This is a critical and challenging time for the Trust as it works to contribute to securing a sustainable future for the North Mill and the Belper Mills site generally (currently the subject of a planning application for redevelopment) and an enhanced, sustainable visitor attraction, within the proposed regeneration plans, for the benefit of the public, the town and the wider community.
We are looking for new trustees who add value to what we do, who share the ambitions of the Trust and who are prepared to get involved with new projects and income generation initiatives. Trustees should be able to demonstrate achievements in their chosen career or the voluntary sector, and illustrate how they can use their skills for the Trust’s benefit. We value enthusiasm, energy, clear thinking, commitment, and communication skills. We welcome new trustees who are willing to take a leading role in delivering initiatives.
Our current skills needs are in: marketing and income generation; cultural and heritage tourism; and company and charity law.
Trustees are appointed for a three-year term and may be re-appointed.
